	I caught this Australian crocodile with my camera, only 10-12 feet from where I was standing...... (behind a fence naturally) The croc. farm is only a couple of hours down the "Stuarts Highway" from Darwin (NT). By the way, there´s NO speed limit in Northern Territory (NT).
	Further down Stuarts Highway at Mataranka, there´s a camping ground. And right next to it there´s a hot freshwater lake. The water comes up from the ground and is very hot. Even on a day with 90° F., you have to try it out.
	Bats ???? No, this is flying dogs. They sit and fly around the trees (palmes), just above the lake. They are very noisy; about 3 times the noise which comes from the Sea lions in San Fransisco harbour. But cool to watch, and by the way.... keep you mouth closed :-)
	Devils marbles. 71 miles south of "Tennant Creek" you´ll run into these giant marbles. Large stone formations, carved by thousands of years of rain and sand storms. Some day..... somebody, will stand here, just like me and the stone will roll, but who ? Tip: As there is no speed limit. Then take it easy, or else you will not spot these rocks, you would just pass them with 90 or 100 m/h. (believe me ).
	Road Train. These giant trucks drive at the same speed as you, and on a bad road the last trailer can easily swerve 4-6 feet to each side. If you are on a dirt road and meet one of these monsters, it´s a good idea to get off the road, and keep your windshield away from the road. Rocks and other stuff blow up as it thunders by. Make the "Trucker-sign" and you will get a hearing disorder.
	Alice springs. Well this is almost the centre of Australia. The town "Alice springs" is build up around the telegraph-station, which lies at Todd river, and this is the place where you can find the "spring" (named after the stationmaster´s wife, was it Charlene? or ....?). 5 days after this picture was taken, it rained "cats and dogs". So much that the river overflowed, and created chaos all over town.
