Australia 7

Australia has thousands of miles of white sand beaches, but in the water of these beaches death is watching. Sharks, box jellyfish,  saltwater crocodiles and other fatal bathing stuff .

But, a lot of beaches have enclosures where you might keep your life.

Byron bay lighthouse Byron bay lighthouse (1901).

If you are here in June/July, then bring binoculars and join the "Whale spotting". In these months it's possible to see "Hump-whales" jump out of the water.

The lighthouse stands on "Cape Byron", where it´s also possible to try  "Hang gliding".
Byron bay is also one of Australia´s greatest surf places. And then it is here all types of backpackers come by.

Well! You could do as the truck right here (only for diesel trucks, with air inlet above water) or you could go back to "Maryborough" for a nights sleep and then check out the roads the next day.
